Summer Reading 1617

Greetings!

(Example of the two-column quotation journal is below the Summer Reading Assignment.)

Senior English
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
ISBN-10: 0385474547 OR
ISBN-13: 978-0385474542
Assignment: Keep a two-column quotation journal. The left side should have a quotation with a page number; on the right, you write an original response of why you believe the quotation is significant. You must have at least twenty-five entries, and it must be handwritten (typed entries will not be accepted). Plagiarism and sharing of ideas and quotes will be considered cheating and will result in a zero. (I would love for you to discuss the book, but come up with your quotation journal ideas on your own.) This will count as the first quiz grade of the quarter and is due the second day of class.

Please note that you will have an objective test on the second day of school covering the entire book. It may be fill in the blank, short answer, or multiple-choice.
