We had a great time today with plagiarism and Dr. Seuss!  As part of our work to make sure our students are well-prepared for college and life in this digital age, the English Department is teaching lessons on plagiarism and how to avoid it.  Later on, we do research reports and papers, we will look at source credibility as well.

Monday, we have a quiz over the lesson from today.  Here is the powerpoint presentation: Plagiarism with Dr Seuss.  The quiz will encompass definitions and applications of the skills from this lesson.

I also provided students with a handout (except for 3rd and 4th periods – they will get theirs on Monday; I ran out of time…) about Plagiarism Avoidance and Good Research Skills.

Thank you so much for a great week!  Remember to bring your Lord of the Flies books to class on Monday and study for the vocab quiz on Wednesday.  Book Talk book registration is also on Wednesday.
